GAHMEN (Contributed by edaniel) Has nothing to do with the garment industry, but is the Singlish mispronunciation of "government". Origins usually attributed to incensed taxi drivers offering unsolicited political opinions. Taxi driver: "The gahmen always charge for everything. Increase ERP, increase taxi rental, then go and cut CPF. Like that how can?"
